The Boys Track/Field team captured another District title this weekend, squeezing out a surprise 2.5 point victory over runner-up Taft.  Ben Stites led the way winning the 1600m and 3200m races.  Other regional qualifiers are Kolan Livingston (Discus--2nd), Jared Lowe (High Jump--3rd), Justin McMichael (Pole Vault--3rd), Guy Harbin (110m Hurdles--4th), Cullen O'Brien (1600m--4th), and the 4x800m Relay of Evan Cramer, Max Hoffman, Cullen O'Brien, and Ben Stites.  Evan Cramer, Jacob Hancock, Max Hoffman, and Zach Van Fossen also contributed key points toward the team total in their individual events.

Our girls squad will also have a strong showing in Dayton as several relays and individuals qualified for next week's competition.  Sophomore Whitley Elsass won the 3200m with Lily Parker following close behind in 3rd.  Katie Spray finished 3rd in the 1600 and she also advanced in the 4x800m Relay along with Elsass, Danielle McKee, and Maddie Bahr.  In our final event on Saturday the 4x400m Relay team posted their best time of the season by over 5 seconds as the quartet of McKee, Terra Forsythe, Gabby Morris, and Annie Spray moved on to the next level.
